Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment

Selected patients in our practice receive hyperbaric oxygen treatment. HBO permits patients to breath 100% oxygen at greater than atmospheric pressure. Oxygen is absorbed through the lungs into the blood and distributed throughout the body. Elevated tissue oxygen tensions and pressures facilitate healing and may be therapeutic in many medical conditions.

Safety is our highest priority

Orange County Wound and Hyperbaric treats patients in 2 monoplace hyperbaric oxygen chambers manufactured in 2010 by Sechrist Industries of Anaheim, California.
Sechrist Industries supplies more monoplace hyperbaric chambers than all other manufacturers combined with over 1300 installed in the USA alone. The acrylic and metal hyperbaric chamber pressure vessels are manufactured to A.S.M.E., P.V.H.O., and N.F.P.A. Codes and Standards.

For safety’s sake, our oxygen system and hyperbaric chambers are inspected and certified annually by qualified service personnel. The National Board of Diving & Hyperbaric Medical Technology has certified the competency of our hyperbaric technicians.

As medical director, Dr. Werner is Board Certified in Hyperbaric Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He is also a physician certified by The Council for Graduate Medical Education and Testing and is recognized as a Fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association.
