Orange County Wound and Hyperbaric Specializes in Healing Problem Wounds

Any wound that fails to heal as expected becomes a "problem wound".  A problem wound is a wound that just never seems to heal. These wounds may also be infected, have a foul odor, be larger than 5 centimeters, or have a yellow or black base.  Some problem wounds may reveal bone or tendon. Some wounds just never seem to respond to conventional treatment.

Treating problem wounds in most doctors' offices is usually expensive, frustrating, and ineffective. Hospital based wound centers are impersonal and usually staffed by part time physicians seeking patients for their private office practices or by nurses who must abide by rigid protocols.

Our freestanding wound healing practice is different:  We see wound healing as a distinct medical specialty that incorporates knowledge and skills from many different areas of traditional and non-traditional medicine.  Dr. Werner is current on available wound therapies and has the flexibility to adapt his care to the needs and circumstances of each individual patient. Because our practice is physician owned and not financially affiliated with any hospital or product vendor, the care we provide is always determined by what is best for each patient!  We have most necessary wound care supplies and medications immediately available in our office and our staff members are concerned and responsive to the needs of each patient. Our office is accessible with easy parking. We heal problem wounds in a better way.
